Trane S8X2 Furnace Repair & Installation

Is your house showing signs that it’s time to replace your furnace? It’s good that you’re doing your research. Buying a new furnace is an investment. So, make sure you buy one that’s proven to last.

Trane furnaces are proven to provide long-term reliability, and efficiency.  In fact, Trane has been named as America’s most trusted HVAC brand for the last five years.

Of course, your choice of a service company is also important. Learn more about our gas furnace services, including 24-hour emergency furnace repair in Minneapolis and surrounding areas.

Introducing: The Trane S8X2 Gas Furnace

The Trane S8X2 is a two-stage heating system that offers affordability, consistency, and flexibility—even in the coldest weather. And like all Trane furnaces, the S8X2 boasts extreme durability and the quietest sound rating in the industry.

With the 80% fuel efficiency of this furnace, you’ll probably even see a decrease in your heating bill as older furnaces often have a fuel efficiency between 56% to 70%. However, if reducing your monthly bills is a priority, you may want to consider a high efficiency Trane furnace such as the Trane S9V2 or Trane S9X1.

Call 612-825-6867 to order and install your Trane S8X2 furnace.

Trane S8X2 Benefits Overview

80% Gas Efficiency

The Trane S8X2 is up to 80% fuel efficient and has energy-saving features like the Vortica II blower and an insulated cabinet. Plus, as a two-stage furnace, it can run at different levels—full blast for cold days and low for milder days. The furnace runs longer at the lowest, energy-saving level. As a result, the furnace starts and stops less frequently, saving you money.

Designed to Last

Trane knows how to build furnaces to withstand the coldest temperatures. Each unit actually undergoes 16 weeks of extreme temperatures. So you can be confident that the S8X2 will provide optimal performance even in our cold Minnesota winters.

Cleaner Air

The Trane S8X2 is compatible with the Trane CleanEffects advanced air filtration system that removes more dust, pollen and other irritants from the air.

Trane S8X2 Furnace Specs & Features

The Trane S8X2 furnace is a 2-stage gas furnace designed with high-quality components and a top-notch set of features to ensure your home always has a comfortable climate. Core features of the Trane S8X2 furnace include:

  • ECM Blower Motor
  • Heavy Steel Insulation
  • Two-stage Gas Valve
  • Smaller Cabinet
  • Primary & Secondary Heat Exchangers

ECM Blower Motor

The Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM) is a high-efficiency blower that, when combined with Trane’s patented blower design, provides excellent circulation year-round. -And, since ECM motors can be programed, your blower motor’s speed can be adjusted to help the performance of your S8X2.

Heavy Steel Insulation

The Trane’s S8X2 insulated steel cabinet acts as a sound barrier between the furnace and your home. The heavy steel is also one of the reason’s for the S8X2’s high-efficiency; it can keep in as much as 99% of heated air, which means more heated air comes out of the ducts as designed rather than out of the furnace.

Two-stage Gas Valve

With a two-stage heating design, the Trane S8X2 can operate on high or low heat output for a more consistent temperature. This two-stage design means the furnace doesn’t frequently stop and start, typically running at the first stage (65% of capacity) up to 80% of the time. This two-stage operation ensures quieter operation and consistent, even heating.

Smaller Cabinet Size

The S8X2 is shorter than most Trane furnaces, which makes it perfect for smaller homes or tighter furnace spaces. At 34 inches tall, it’s only as tall as many dining room tables.

Primary & Secondary Heat Exchanger

The primary heat exchanger holds the hottest gas. Located near the burner, it receives the most stress from flame and heat. The secondary heat exchanger captures more of the heat, keeping it in the furnace rather than the surrounding air.

Reviews

Welter’s Heating Company is a very family -oriented company and a company that treats you like their best neighbor! We’ve used them for previous repairs as well as for AC and furnace purchases . Reasonably priced. Were kind, considerate and diligent problem solvers. Service was fast. Even received 2 space heaters to carry us over the weekend. Very prompt, experienced and high quality installation. Exceeded our expectations! ~ Debbie, Google Reviews

I was very happy with the service and price Ray N Welters gave me for installing a furnace and air conditioner at my house. Not only did they come out and gave me a bid in a timely manner but they were able to install the equipment weeks earlier than the other companies I had out for estimates. So not only did I get quick service, but I got a good price too. I made some changes prior to the install date and the company was very accommodating of my requests. I highly recommend this company. ~ James Markstrom, Google Reviews
